Here are some interesting facts about my life as an author:

I write most of my picture books on my iphone while I am flying on airplanes.
So far, all of my books are under 500 words.
I am working on an adult novel right now which is taking MUCH longer to complete than my children’s books.
I started writing when I was in kindergarten—a story about my dog, Ginger—and continued on to discover poetry in the 4th
In high school, I composed all of my school speeches—including that of Valedictorian—in rhyme.
I think about words and rhyme all the time.
I speak Spanish so I am often comparing cognate words like libería (bookstore) and library and noticing their roots.
